I’m sure that I’m not the first to ask this.....but, I’m really interested...what is so fascination with Twitter? I’ve never signed up for it and what I have seen is little more than a lib cesspool. Most of those who comment seem to be illiterate and vulgar, actually much worse than vulgar....and I’m no prude. Substack appears a better option to me, but many seem to really miss Twitter once they are kicked off.....I don’t get it.

Maybe covid sensorship is not about covid? A while back I was reading the news and thought, "The day is coming where I won't be able to trust any news."
Those skeptical about covid are same people (in general, I think) that are skeptical about Ukraine-Russia war reporting, the climate agenda, wef/un agenda, woke ideology," fill-in-blank" justice... You want that voice deleted so nothing runs counter the narrative. I believe these things are simply branches from the same tree, they have one root.

Israel: New study links COVID vaccines to 25% increase in cardiac arrest for both males & females; Study based on data from emergency services.
I restarted talking to a vaxed friend (after a solid year since he told me to get my vax or no friendship) yesterday on the proviso which I texted him before the phone call that "he wakes the fuck up". He rang me quickly thereafter all apologies and saying its everyone's choice now whether to be jabbed. Anyway as a Christian I felt sorry for him as he had tried calling me recently having seen the shit show that had happened. Funnily later in the day I met a neighbour whom I hadn't had a decent conversation in a long time and she said she felt "so fucking stupid" at having swallowed all the bs about lockdowns, vax, pcr over the past 2 years. Never again she vowed. So people are waking up... even the staunchest vaxed.
I don't know that I would agree that mitigation mechanisms are behind us:
* masks (no matter how useless) are quick to be reintroduced when hospitalisations rise or winter is around the corner. I realise NZ is behind the rest of the world where nr of covid cycles is concerned, but they reintroduced indoor mask mandates recently in spite of their vaccination rate... I can really see this happening again in Europe and portions of the US. Even here is South Africa, where masks were dropped from legislation only recently. The N hemisphere seems to comply well, here is SA the compliance and implementation was just about non-existent.
* vaccine mandates: we have a new formulation now, and while Joe Biden is struggling to get federal mandates through the courts I completely see Europe returning to mandates or other coercive methods just short of a mandate (the EU already approved the green pass for another 12 mnths)
I don't think we are done yet, and we will only be when wrongdoing has been admitted... Sounds sad, but I do not see that happening.
The people running and working for Twitter are the worst of the worst of what any society could offer up. Young authoritarians that believe they know what's best for everyone, with very little real life experience beyond their protected little bubble of the techy world. Highly doubtful they ever say with a grandparent that had survived communism or Hitler. They've read about Marxism and think it sounds great for the unwashed masses beneath them. I personally know people that worked in some of these tech/social media industries and they're aren't people you want to hang out with, let alone decide what information you get to consume.
