Things are really intense in Canada like I've never seen. The Liberals (along with all the parties) set the atmosphere of animosity for politics. This was a conscious decision just like it was to unnecessarily invoke the Emergencies Act despite the fact there was a plan to end the convoy. The cynical politics of Justin Trudeau made enemies and criminals of fair-minded, law-abiding Canadians not known to distrust their government. Americans have an inherent distrust of government; Canadians display the opposite posture.

And Justin managed to breach that trust. Do you realize how bad (and wicked) you have to be to accomplish this? Think of it. Justin and the Liberals managed to turn a certain portion of a generally mild-mannered, decent, polite, obedient although somewhat naive population into angst-riddled angry protestors hurling vulgarities at him and other officials. Well deserved in my view by the way.

Anne Tessier showed courage. I accept her apology. She can get amnesty.

But we have a long way to go. The damage caused by what they did is permanent for a lot of people and I don't know how this can be remedied or people made whole again. There's serious division among Canadians.

Are they going to financially reimburse those who lost their jobs? What about class action lawsuits? It's a start, but it doesn't change the fact that Canadians, like a lot of people around the world are still going to need a lot of rope.

Forgiveness is highly-overrated. Neither the harmed nor the harmers are made whole.

Does Ms. Tessier have suggestions on how the municipal council might make actual amends to those it harmed? If not--she's relieving her own overburdened heart. Thanks, but no cigar.

A couple things. Anne came into 'power' during the last election in the fall, where the entire municipal counsel and mayor were swept out of office. She doesn't bare responsibility for the implementation, but she does the right thing with the apology. Why? Because on a very deep level, she is participating in her civic duty, she is officiating in the collective/individual dialogue as a civil servant and in doing so preserving the best of our democratic ideals by taking responsibility on behalf of the institution. This is the most important step towards rebuilding our society, accountability. Second, most other members of her counsel will not agree with her. No matter most in her ward will. And the real point is that she has punctured the air out of the heated debate nobody wants to defend anymore. This is a watershed moment. I for one am very grateful for her courage.

Wow!! I dream of the day my vaccine-addicted friends and family will say to me, “Lori, you never should have lost your job because of your vax status. That was wrong, and I’m sorry I ever believed it was justified. And you never should have been treated differently because of your vax status. That was also wrong, and I’m sorry I believed you weren't experiencing true discrimination because it was a choice you made. You were right all along.”

Sadly, I don’t think it will ever happen.

If there are no repercussions for vaccine mandates other than an apology, that leaves the door wide-open for them to do it again

Sorry Igor, not moved by her and her cohorts so called act at all.. I only see her apologizing what about the rest of the criminals in her so called criminal council.. You see this was not a mistake.. They admitted they knew the truth and chose for a myriad of reasons only they know not to stop the death and madness.. Was it money, part of the group doing it, what was the reason they lied and murdered when they knew the truth.. She wants to move forward, sorry but people are dead and injured they cannot move forward.. I will repeat this was not a mistake it was pre planned and executed, so no apologize accepted.. I want them all in jail or worse.. If these criminals name all their leaders and all the inner working, so this BS can never happen again, then I will let them off with jail.. I do not want an apology on zoom, I want them to invite the public they lied to and look the dead peoples relatives and explain to them why you murdered their kin.. If they get another chance which you know they are already planning the next one, then they will pretend they have no choice because its out of their hands, its the WHO that is doing this.. No sorry murderer No APOLOGY ACCEPTED..

That’s nice but it doesn’t repair the financial damages caused by lost jobs. Or repairs the mental anguish and anxiety caused by lost relationships

A sincere apology is a great START. Now what are you doing to stop the war crimes STILL GOING ON in Canada?

We still have Alberta refusing to give an organ transplant to Sheila Lewis because she hasn't taken the vaccine. We still have children under 12 being given the shots which are proven to have no benefit to the child or anyone else. We still have bill C-36 in BC mandating injections every 3 months (4 times a year!) for medical workers.

Are you going to speak out against those and other war crimes? Or will you acquiesce with your silence for another year+ until it becomes a "fait acompli"?

PS. If you want more information about Mrs Lewis' case:

https://sheldonyakiwchuk.substack.com/p/what-about-sheila

This now means they will let you DIE unless you take more shots if your shots are more than 6 months out of date! Yes even if you took the first 2 or 3 you will HAVE to take more even if it is of zero benefit and huge risk to you.

And for info on bill C-36 in BC:

https://www.jccf.ca/justice-centre-expresses-concern-about-british-columbias-bill-36/

Bill C-36 in BC I actually get a laugh out of. Passed 3rd reading and boy have the cowards of the medical profession painted themselves in a corner. I oppose it on principle because I still have those unlike 99% of the medical professionals, but it makes me laugh. That is what pimps do to their ho's. Dark humour for dark times.

The problem with this apology is that it is based on the vaccines not stopping transmission. Vaccine mandates are wrong. Period. Whether the vaccines work or not. For without bodily autonomy, we have nothing. Still, I appreciate the courage it takes for people to come forward like this. Better than nothing.

Well this is nice but it will not reanimate the vaccine dead or heal the vaccine injured. The damage is done. Millions will die in the next few years as a result of mandates just like this. Sure it’s a start down the road that must end with arrests, trials and executions of EVERYONE who participated in this genocide.

The apology, even if given from the heart, changes not a single injury (or death), business closing caused by the unscientific policies. Where is her proposed legislation (or at least promise of) to prohibit such policy from happening again? War crimes are not to be forgiven for a sincere apology. Never lose sight that we are war victims of our own countries.

Glad to see at least some people acting like adults.

Doctors of all people should be the first to apologize.
