Sorry to do a Dr. John Campbell and overlook the "bleeding obvious" as we say in the UK, but is there a chance that this is at least partly due to the fact that people in Taiwan think that a CCP/PLA invasion is imminent and are not having children for that reason?
Per the Taiwan vax graph, only ~60% were vaccinated by July 2021. By December later that year it increased to ~80%. Is it possible that this birth rate “decrease” will only increase (more negative!) as that batch of newly Vax additional 20% reaches their respective 9 month term? Very sad.
